Graduates demonstrate advanced competence in biblical interpretation, theological reflection, and ministry strategies.
For the Doctorate Program, the admission requirements are those outlined in the PDF document. Below is a summary for your reference:
• Minimum Requirement: Master’s degree in Theology, Divinity, Ministry, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Please include a question asking whether the applicant’s Master’s degree is from Spirit Temple University (STU).
• If the answer is No, the form should require submission of official transcripts and academic references (set as required fields).
• All Doctorate applicants must also:
1) Submit a Statement of Purpose outlining their spiritual journey and doctoral goals.
2) Demonstrate at least three years of active and effective ministry experience.
3) Provide a Writing Sample (minimum 2,000 words) on a theological topic.
4) Pay the registration fee upon completing the application form.
Delivery Mode: Hybrid (Online Tuesdays 7–8:30 PM; In-Person: 1st Tuesday Monthly atBethlehem Campus)
• Apply comparative hermeneutics and advanced exegetical principles.
• Integrate Christocentric theology across biblical covenants.
• Construct doctrinal frameworks rooted in Scripture and Spirit revelation.
• Demonstrate leadership ethics in apostolic ministry.
• Design original research proposals for dissertation readiness.
Delivery Mode: Hybrid (Online + In-Person at Bethlehem Campus)*
The second year transitions students from theoretical mastery to practical research and ministry innovation. Coursework emphasizes applied theology, field research, publication readiness, and
proposal defense.
• Conduct independent, Spirit-led research using advanced qualitative and quantitative design.
• Develop and submit peer-reviewed theological manuscripts.
• Implement research-based ministry innovation projects.
• Integrate biblical leadership within contextual and global settings.
• Successfully defend a formal doctoral proposal before faculty review board.
Delivery Mode: Primarily Independent Research with Faculty Supervision (Hybrid Meetings and In-Person Defense)**
• Complete and defend a doctoral dissertation before faculty and peers.
• Publish findings in the Spirit Temple Theological Review Journal or equivalent platform.
• Demonstrate academic excellence, ethical integrity, and Spirit-guided scholarship.
• Contribute to global theology through original, transformative research.
