Transfer credit may be reviewed based on the nature of the previous coursework, your selected program, academic level, documentation provided, and STU academic standards. We evaluate each application individually to honor your prior formation while ensuring you are prepared for your STU degree pathway.

Complete the official STU application form.

Select school & program

Select your school of interest and program or degree level.

Request credit review

Indicate clearly that you are requesting a transfer credit review.

Submit your records

Send transcripts, certificates, course descriptions, syllabi, and other acceptable academic records.

STU reviews documents

Wait while STU reviews your documents to determine whether any credits may be accepted.

Receive confirmation

Receive confirmation regarding accepted credits, remaining requirements, and program placement.

Evaluation Criteria

Transfer review may consider:

Whether the previous coursework aligns with STU’s program requirements.

The academic level and quality of the prior work.

The student’s selected degree pathway.

The age and relevance of the coursework.

Whether the work reflects biblical, theological, ministry, leadership, or practical formation related to the program.

Whether required documentation is complete and verifiable.
